24th Annual Music Education Week - July 19-23, 2010

Students, take a week of instrument lessons for $25!
Try a new instrument or continue study on your current instrument! All classes are grouped according to age and ability. Lessons are taught by the Young Artists of the Manchester Music Festival.

WHEN & WHERE
July 19-23, 2010. Lessons are given Monday through Friday morning at 9:00 or 10:00. All lessons are taught at the First Congregational Church and Festival House in Manchester, Vermont.

WHO
Students age 6-18 are welcome to participate. Children age 6 & 7 who are beginning studies, are limited to recorder or violin.

STUDENT RECITAL
All students are encouraged to participate in our end-of-week recital, Friday, July 23, at 11:00AM, at the First Congregational Church. Family, friends, and the general public are welcome to attend.

COST & ENROLLMENT
Tuition for the week-long program is $25 per student. Each student receives one, 50 minute lesson each morning. Students will be notified by Email after July 1st of the exact time and location of their lesson. To enroll, please complete and mail the application form with your lesson fee of $25 and instrument rental fee, if applicable, no later than July 1, 2010. Applications received after July 1st will not be accepted.

INSTRUCTION
Instruction is offered in recorder, violin, viola, cello, and piano. Students can expect to have their lesson with at least one other student. All students are grouped according to age and ability.

INSTRUMENTS
Recorders will be provided to all recorder students free of charge. With the exception of piano, provision of any other instrument is the responsibility of the student.

INSTRUMENT RENTAL
Instrument rentals are available through the Manchester Music Festival. Students are responsible for any damage to the rental instrument while it is in their possession.

Recorder - Free
Violin & Viola - $25
Cello - $30

INSTRUMENT SIZE
To ensure the proper size of the rental instrument for your child, please measure as follows:

Violin/Viola
Have your child fully extend his/her arm in line with the shoulder. Measure from the side of the neck to the center of the palm. Enter the measurement on the application form.

Cello
Take your child's height measurement and notate it on the application form.
